Eli, Juan and T were so helpful! We just moved to the area and were looking for a good affordable place nearby and this takes the cake! They have a few different sauces to choose from (I tried them all!) The cornbread is so soft and moist and everything is clean! Can't wait to make this a regular go to spot!
Tried City BBQ for the first time this evening and I have to say the service was great. The food was good but the service made it better. We were greeted by Jazz who was so patient while we were reviewing the menu. She gave her recommendations when asked which was greatly appreciated because I tend to want to order more than I can eat. She was attentive but did not make us feel rushed. I had the pleasure of meeting Tee when I was picking up our order. She was so kind with great positive energy! She saw how excited I was when I realized they had banana pudding and made sure that I had the chance to try it. With that said, my husband and I both enjoyed the corn pudding a lot. The baked beans were sweeter than my husband preferred but I thought it was ok. The sampler was good with the turkey being very moist. The ribs were easy to eat and there were a lot of choices in bbq sauce. The toast was also good with the sesame seeds. Finally, the banana pudding had slices of fresh bananas and had a hint of cinnamon. It was a great way to wrap up the meal. I was so excited about the banana pudding I forgot to take a picture of the food but here's a picture of the Cobb salad with brisket we ordered to go.
I recently stopped by City Barbeque and had a great experience overall. The ribs were delicious—tender, juicy, and packed with smoky flavor. The brisket was a little on the dry side, but still had a nice flavor and good. The mac and cheese and fries were solid sides, and the portion sizes were generous. The restaurant was clean, and the staff was friendly and efficient, which made the visit even better. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu.
Shout out to the City Barbecue crew tonight. Yall made it happen. I've been to many smokehouses all over the United States and this crew wowed me. They really made it happen from the time I walked in the door all the way until I walked out. This is by far the best service I have every received at any restaurant. This crew takes pride in their jobs and very very polite and respectful. I shall return, definitely number 1 on my list.
We were here on a Sunday at 1:30pm, Monty was super helpful! Trying all the sauces! Everything was amazing, fried okra is the best! And the pork belly was awesome! Will be back!
